This is becoming a place we love to hit when near Washington, N.C. - on the back road just before the bridge to Washington Park, sits Backwater Jack&#39;s! Just as the name implies, it&#39;s on the backside of the Pamlico Sound, adjacent to kayak rentals and boat ramps! You just can&#39;t get much more laid-back (inside or outside) it is reminiscent of Key West or a Jimmy Buffet song! Kids/adults, anyone is welcome to screened-in seating or air conditioned areas upstairs and down! Food is great - love their shrimp tacos and sweet potato fries. Great home made aioli, slaw and black bean salad! Great place to kick back, enjoy a leisurely meal or quick snack and cool drink with friends and family!
